In the world of wealth management, staying ahead of technological advancements is essential. As such, Advisor360° has taken a step forward by introducing its newly updated client experience app, Investor360°. Rob Bateman, Senior Product Manager of Wealth Management, discusses the motivations behind the overhaul of this app, its key features, and the benefits it offers to both advisors and clients.

For years, Investor360° has served as an important tool for fostering client relationships, and its newly enhanced application brings even greater functionality and quality experience. With a brand new framework and APIs, we’ve upgraded it to continuously evolve with industry trends, technological advancements, and user feedback. 

The Importance of Mobile Apps 

Mobile app usage has skyrocketed in recent years, with more people relying on their smartphones for various tasks. The data speaks for itself. Based on their research conducted in October-November 2023, Deloitte reported that “68% of all investors and 74% of Gen Y and Z expect their digital experiences to be on par with leading born-digital companies.” Firms are expected to take digital experiences to the next level and deliver them through mobile apps. 

This shift towards mobile adoption highlights a change in client expectations and preferences—a change Advisor360° has taken into account. We've seen more downloads of Investor360° in the last two months than in all of the previous two years, and our App Store score has significantly increased. We hope to continue this positive trend by investing in features clients and advisors value. 

With a user-friendly interface, Investor360° provides a “single point of entry experience” that reduces app fatigue and centralizes financial management, laying out a complete view of all their accounts and financial assets. 

Understanding Client Needs 

Clients want an efficient way to check transaction statuses, review their balances, and communicate with advisors securely. With Investor360°, we have invested in key features to streamline these priority tasks.  

We provide useful and engaging functionalities, robust portfolio data, and easy ways to communicate with advisors—all designed to make the user experience seamless. 

Currently, we are working on adding document vault and money movement capabilities, as well as tools that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning—such as chatbots for real-time assistance and voice activation for a hands-free operation. 

In-App Communication 

Effective communication is fundamental to any successful relationship, and Investor360° facilitates this with its secure messaging aspects. Clients can quickly message their advisors, set alerts, and receive notifications, ensuring they stay well informed and connected. 

The app includes self-service capabilities, such as setting price and balance alerts, approving transfers, and depositing checks. These features not only elevate user convenience but also minimize the need for constant back-and-forth, freeing up both parties to focus on high-touch interactions.
