Full-Time - Hybrid - Weston, MA

Job Brief

The Software Engineer will be a member of a development team that’s on the cutting edge of technology, responsible for developing several applications that helps the advisors to create accounts on behalf of their clients. We have tools that integrate with other systems to allow advisors create accounts quickly. We are a hybrid work environment in Weston, MA and require candidates to be available onsite 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to our software engineering initiatives to deliver well-defined products that generate immense customer value and personally deliver high-quality, broadly applicable software contributions 
  • Provide ongoing maintenance to the team with enhancements in existing systems and platforms while documenting for continuity
  • Develop and enhance the platform with new code, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes  
  • Collaborate technically with others to understand our business needs, engineering peers, and operation teams to improve and optimize our product, infrastructure, and software functionality 
  • Perform regular code resolution and gap analysis by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues to accelerate project progress inclusive of routine bugs 
  • Follow the coding standards and development procedures
  • Learn and absorb how to design and develop services with a strong focus on high availability, quality, and testability, using the tools effectively while ensuring customer expectations are met

Skills & Requirements

  • 1+ years of software engineering experience, best practices for the full software development life cycle 
  • Programming experience in C#, .NET, RESTful API, Angular, SQL, and Python
  • Knowledge of test automation software a plus 
  • Knowledge of front end technologies a plus
  • High threshold to work within highly complex and ambiguous situations 
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively across disciplines and teams 
  • Design, implementation, and testing skills 
  • Ability to work in our Weston, MA office three days a week
